Meet Our Team

Throughout high school, I sought to find a career where I could utilize my artistic abilities and also meet new and interesting people on a daily basis. Dentistry has allowed me to do both. After graduating from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1990, I began my career in Flint, Michigan. After five years, I became the dental director of Flint Family Dentistry, a large group practice. In 2007, I joined Chelsea Family Dentistry as a partner after working as an associate for many years. In 2015, I expanded my business and purchased a small office here in Milford, Michigan. Through hard work and quality care, the office has expanded. I now work solely in Milford to serve the Milford area. My approach to treating patients is simply based on listening first and then treating the patient as a whole. Everyone’s general health is linked directly to their oral health. Our office prides itself on its attention to detail and being technologically up to date. I continue to expand my knowledge and skills through attending classes, seminars and hands-on training events. Being involved in the community through educational lectures, sponsorships and local organizations is very important to me.

Outside the Office
I was born in Detroit, but I currently live in Brighton. I have been married to my beautiful, supportive wife, Kim, for over 30 years. We have three children: Zachary, a dentist in Northville; Sydney, an attorney in Chicago; and Kelsey, a first-grade teacher in Pittsburgh. I enjoy any sport possible — it keeps my competitive edge. I treat every day as if it is my last, and I appreciate everyone in my life. I am a member of St. Patrick’s church in Brighton.

I joined Milford Family Dentistry in January 2022 with over 17 years of dental administration and insurance billing background. Having moved from the small town of Gladwin, I have really enjoyed the fun family atmosphere that Milford provides, and I love getting to know all of our patients.

Alongside my husband, Brian, I have five children — Taylor, Landen, Haley, Bryce and Brently — and a golden retriever named George. In my free time, I am typically heading north to visit my family home or relaxing with a good book.

I grew up in Highland Township and enjoy serving the community that I grew up in. I graduated with honors from the Mott Community College Dental Hygiene program in 2018. I enjoy providing patients with spectacular dental care and enhancing patients’ dental experience. I joined the Milford Family Dentistry team in October 2021 and enjoy working with such an amazing team. Everyone on our team goes above and beyond to make sure that each patient has a great dental experience and is comfortable every step of the way.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I am a proud mother of my two sons and dog. We love the outdoors, especially the summer months filled with swimming, boating and friends.

Colleen Monahan
I graduated from Ferris State University in 1999 with a degree in dental hygiene and a bachelor’s degree in biology. I have been a dental hygienist in downtown Milford for over 20 years, developing strong ties to my patients and the area. I joined Milford Family Dentistry six years ago, shortly after Dr. Brian purchased the office. I love working with my small dental family, who each support each other and make work seem like home.

Bruce and I live in Fenton with our 10-year-old daughter, Violet. Some of my hobbies are gardening, walking and breeding Labrador and Golden Retrievers. During the winters, I enjoy skiing, and in the summer, you can find me camping and offshore fishing with friends.

I have been in the dental field since 2010 and graduated at the top of my class at Ross Medical Education Center. I am certified in dental assisting and radiology and have been working with Dr. Wisniewski since 2012. I have been with Milford since 2015. I am also a member of the American Dental Assistant Association, and I’m looking forward to continuing my education and becoming a registered dental assistant. I live in the city of Chelsea. There, Steve and I have two sons. We are a very active family. I enjoy making memories with my family and friends. I’m very happy to work with such an amazing and caring team.

I love being in a practice that is in the community I have lived in since 1969. The camaraderie between the team members makes it a wonderful place to work. They are devoted in taking excellent care of all of their patients.

Choosing the dental field as my career has been a joy. In the span of my career, I have worked in all specialty offices, which enables me to bring my experience to this practice. I have associate degrees in dental assisting and early child development, I am a graduate of the University of Michigan Registered Dental Assistant Program and I enjoy furthering my education through various classes.

When not working in the wonderful town of Milford, I love being an aunt, grammie, great aunt and fur baby mommy. I enjoy attending my family’s various events and activities, where I am the photographer and memory keeper. When my nephews and nieces were attending MHS, I served as treasurer for the Athletic Booster Club for four years. Gardening, fishing, feeding all the various birds, skiing, taking long walks and hosting friends on our lake are all hobbies that keep me busy. My favorites are doing gardening projects with my 89-year-old mom and babysitting all the little ones and my nephew’s fur baby!
